We are pleased to announce that Dr. Ethan Bernick, Associate Professor of Political Science and Director of Public Administration, has been named the 2025–2026 College of Arts & Sciences Professional Development Award recipient for his outstanding contributions representing our department.
Dr. Bernick will be recognized on March 5th alongside his fellow honorees of the 2025-2026 teaching, advising and administrative support awards.
Please join us in congratulating Dr. Bernick and thanking him for his research, teaching and service that made significant efforts to promote a welcoming environment and varied perspectives at K-State and beyond.

The Journal will be hosting a Spring Institute on March 31st, April 2nd, April 6th, and April 7th via Zoom from 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m. CT. All pieces are welcome — fiction, non-fiction, poems, essays. 2025-2026 Winter Break Operations - UPDATE
The Political Science office will operate remotely 12/22 & 12/23/25 and will be closed 12/24/25-01/2/26. Additionally, Kansas State University offices will be closed 12/25/25-01/1/26. We will resume regular business operations on Monday, January 5th, 2026.
Please note that email is the best way to contact us during remote operations, and to leave a message for us to address when the office reopens.
