Ready to explore FLIP IT and put the strategy into practice?

In this two-week course, learn the four supportive steps to help preschool to school-age children identify their feelings, learn healthy self-control, and reduce challenging behavior.

During the first week, gain knowledge about FLIP IT through online work. In the second week, practice implementing the strategy with the children you work with through online and out-of-class work.

This course is appropriate for early care and education professionals in center-based and family child care home settings who are currently working with children.

This training module is appropriate for early care and education professionals working towards their Child Development Associate credential who are at least three-fourths done with their 120 training hours.

📣 Share Your Story. Help Shape Future Early Childhood Professionals.

Every family's journey and every professional's experience has something valuable to teach. Your experience can make a difference. 💜

Kansas State University's Early Childhood Education Program seeks families, caregivers, individuals with lived experience, and professionals to participate in our Family & Professional Partnership Initiative. By sharing your experiences, you can help prepare future educators, practitioners, and service providers to build meaningful partnerships with children and families, support inclusive practices, and better understand the realities of early intervention and special education.

Participation opportunities include:
✅ Recorded family or professional presentations (45-60 minutes)
✅ Sharing de-identified IFSP and/or IEP documents for educational use

Participants receive compensation ranging from $25 to $100, depending on the selected opportunity. All materials will be used only in approved K-State Early Childhood Education courses, and confidentiality safeguards are in place.
