Learning at the School of Human Sciences goes beyond the textbook. During our Aging Simulation, students wore suits designed to replicate the physical challenges of aging, from limited mobility to reduced senses, giving them a firsthand look at what the people they'll one day help may experience every day.

This is what hands-on education looks like at K-State. 💜

We are so proud of our PhD student Fatemeh SadeghMohammadi, whose newly published research in the Journal of Interpersonal Violence uncovered a direct pathway between collectivistic cultural values, internalized stigma around help-seeking, and emotional abuse victimization in romantic relationships.

Her work gives language to something millions of people live but have never been able to name, and we could not be more excited to see it out in the world. 💜

Swipe through to read the full story, and join us in celebrating Fatemeh and her co-researchers Ehsan Khorasani and Dr. Chelsea Spencer. 🎉
