We are excited to once again be offering a BS in nuclear engineering!

Seventeen K-State graduate students have been selected for competitive research awards from the Johnson Cancer Research Center, including 15 Cancer Research Awardees and two Kansas Graduate Cancer Research Scholarship and Support Awardees.

Congratulations to PhD student Bradley Crouch on presenting TWICE at the 4th International Conference on Dosimetry and its Applications (ICDA-4) in Valencia, Spain, last week! Bradley presented on neutron dosimetry for our NASA EPSCoR Rapid Response Research project and on modeling charge distributions for space radiation active shielding, which was also sponsored by NASA.

PhD student Eric Giunta gave a brief preview of his poster during the "Pooled international studies in epidemiology" session last week in Montreal, Canada. Eric did a great job presenting on his work, which involves upgrading radiation epidemiology tools to take advantage of high performance computing. The 17th International Congress for Radiation Research was an excellent opportunity to interface with radiation researchers from around the world!

Luke Stegeman has published the second paper from his dissertation work! This article goes into incredible detail on propagating high charge and energy particles in electromagnetic fields and will serve as an excellent reference for anyone performing related research with Geant4 or ASPP!
