In observance of Memorial Day, our office will be closed on Monday, May 26. Today, we honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. We will reopen during normal business hours on Tuesday.

U.S. Wheat recently partnered with Shawn Thiele, Associate Director of the IGP Institute at Kansas State University, to lead a series of technical mill consultation visits in Thailand alongside USW regional staff. These engagements provided valuable opportunities to collaborate with flour mills on improving operational efficiency, consistency, and overall performance.

As part of the visit, U.S. Wheat also hosted a technical milling seminar featuring Thiele, bringing together millers from across Thailand for discussions on global wheat supply and demand, emerging wheat-based food trends in Southeast Asia, and the current market outlook in Thailand.

The seminar offered participants deeper insight into wheat classes and characteristics, the factors that influence wheat quality, and the consistent value and performance of U.S. wheat across a wide range of end-use applications.

Through partnerships like these, the IGP Institute continues to provide world-class technical training that supports industry professionals globally while strengthening the market preference for U.S. grains, oilseeds, and value-added products. U.S. Wheat

In 2025, IGP Institute expanded its global impact by supporting Soybean Excellence Center training and facilitating IAOM Correspondence Course testing units. Additional outreach was delivered through course managers via workshops, research, and presentations, further strengthening capacity across the grain and feed industries.

The IGP Institute welcomed trade teams from three countries, bringing together global partners in support of our mission. We’re proud to host visitors from around the world and continue building connections that strengthen the future of grain and food systems.

Last week, IGP hosted the NFGA-KSU FSMA-HACCP course in the building. This three-day course covers the Food Safety Modernization Act and allows participants to earn both FSMA and HACCP certifications. We still have two FSMA-HACCP courses available this year in September and November, so don’t miss your chance to earn these valuable certifications.
