Postbaccalaureate Biology Research Program: Oklahoma State University: ON-RaMP
I am the project coordinator for a new NSF-funded postbaccalaureate biology program (ON-RaMP) at Oklahoma State University. Our participants are paired with research scientists from a variety of different disciplines to study anthropogenic impacts upon biological systems. The program lasts one year, and the end goal is that through mentorship and research experience, we produce a diverse network of future scientists to address many of our country's natural resource needs. The program is open to any individual with a bachelor's degree in biology that has graduated within the last four years. Our participants work full time, are paid a salary ($32,500.00), and are provided funding for insurance ($7,000.00), travel ($2,000.00), and research materials ($10,000.00).
This program could be especially useful for those students who are in-between their undergraduate program and graduate or professional school. I've included a link to our website below.
