Beginning next Monday, August 3rd, all career advising appointment scheduling will be moving to Navigate!
This change will align the appointment process with other on-campus resources and streamline our services so we can serve K-State students more effectively.
Handshake will still be available for students searching for internships, part-time jobs and full-time opportunities, and will continue to host information for our career fairs and events as well. Questions? Never hesitate to ask our team!

During your internship, try to understand how your work fits into the bigger picture. Ask how your projects support the team’s goals, who uses the work you produce, and what happens after your part is complete.
That context can help you make better decisions, communicate more effectively, and explain your experience with more confidence in future interviews.

It's time for another summer internship tip! Your internship is a great time to learn from the people around you, not just the tasks on your to-do list.
Take a few minutes this week to start a conversation with someone in your workplace. Ask how they got started, what they enjoy about their role or what advice they would give to someone beginning their career.
These small conversations can help you better understand different career paths, build confidence in professional settings and create connections that may continue after your internship ends.
Need help preparing for these type of networking conversations? The Career Center is here to support you!
