Teaching and learning should be FUN! 🙌

Our Foundations of Education students kicked off their first micro-teaches of the semester with hands-on tutorial lessons—and the creativity was flowing! From pastry piping techniques and balloon animals to counting money, making slime, macramé plant hangers, pipe-cleaner flowers and even potting new plants, our EDCATS got to be both the teacher AND the learner.

Because sometimes the best way to learn how to teach is to get hands-on and have a little fun along the way! đź’ś

🎤 Meet our Education Symposium Keynote Speaker!

On Thursday, October 8, we’re welcoming K-State alum Jim Morgan, a legendary agricultural educator with more than 40 years of experience shaping students, FFA leaders and the future of education.

From 57 Kansas FFA championships to two national titles, Morgan’s career is a masterclass in leadership, adaptability and innovation.

His keynote will explore how education has evolved—from ditto machines to AI—and why educators must keep evolving, too. 🌱🤖

And yes… he’ll make the case that the “A” in STEAM can stand for Agriculture.
