Four days. Three nights. Countless memories. ๐Ÿ’œ๐ŸŽ

The Future EDCATS Summit gave future educators a true taste of life at K-State! From bowling at the K-State Student Union and exploring the Riley County Fair, Sunset Zoo, and Wonder Workshop to touring K-State Athletics facilitiesโ€”including West Stadium Center, Morgan Family Arena, Bramlage Coliseum, and the Shamrock Zoneโ€”every day brought a new adventure.

Students also experienced campus life with a visit to the Student Recreation Center, spent time with Oakley the therapy dog, learned from outstanding College of Education professors, and wrapped up the week by presenting their projects and celebrating everything they accomplished.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Future EDCATS Summit an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to see where these future educators go next! ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’œ

Her story is a reminder that meaningful connections, leadership experiences, and saying "yes" to new opportunities can shape an incredible future.

Pura Vida, EDCATS! ๐Ÿ‡จ๐Ÿ‡ท

Ten EdCats and two faculty leaders spent nine days in rural Costa Rica teaching alongside local educators in a rural early childhood/elementary school and a high school. We co-taught in English and Spanish, applied new ESL strategies, and discovered that great teaching engages in every language. Then we traded classrooms for the rainforest, exploring ecology, biology, and environmental science through unforgettable hands-on adventures.
