THIRD PLACE OVERALL!!!
That's a wrap on Michigan 2026! After a year of countless hours of work, sleepless nights, overcoming challenges and competing with excellence, we ended MIS 2026 on the podium for the first time ever in team history!

Final results out of 117 teams:
- 3rd in Endurance
- 4th in Cost
- 5th in Autocross
- 11th in Design
- 12th in Acceleration
- 27th in Business
- 31st in Skidpad

This year brought a lot of new experiences with it, we made Design Finals for and we finished in the top 5 for Cost, both for the first time in team history!

We are SO hyped with this outcome, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work of everyone involved with the team, our generous sponsors, and very understanding families and significant others. We are so proud of everyone and can’t wait to see what the 2026-2027 season brings our way!

Day 3 complete!

- We started the day at practice pad
- Hit Skidpad after that
- Fueled up and hit Accel and AutoX, all wrapped up by 4
- We headed to Design Finals around 5:15 and we were doing that until about 8:30

For our first time ever at Design Finals, we felt pretty good about it. We learned a lot from the judges and we're looking forward to finding out the results this evening!

Final results for the day:
5th AutoX
9th Accel
31st Skidpad
We also got a near perfect score in the in-person part of the cost event!

We're scheduled to run endurance around 2pm EST today, and the awards ceremony is around 8pm EST this evening. Both of these events will be live streamed!

Day two of competition complete!

Here are some updates.

- We started third in line for fuel
- Successfully completed tilt after that
- Design and Cost events both done by 11:30
- Sound passed on second try, 101 decibels at idle and 106 at rpm
- Passed brakes first try
- Practice pad for the rest of the day

And after waiting all evening, we found out that we've made design finals for the first time ever (that we know of)!
The team put a lot of effort into static events this year, we're so proud of all of them!

Day one of competition at the Michigan International Speedway went well!

Some highlights from the day:

- Tech #20
- We were the first through ETC tech and passed right away
- SES tech passed right after that (broomstick might have been pretty close though)
- Mech tech passed second try: some critical fasteners didn't have 360° of thread, our aero radii, and our steering wheel was slightly too concave
- Calico's final weight is 437 lbs with no fuel
