K-State’s Mechanical and Nuclear Engineering Department offers undergraduate degrees in mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering with a nuclear option. Graduate degrees are offered in both Mechanical Engineering and Nuclear Engineering.

With recent approval from the Kansas Board of Regents, the college will add nuclear engineering as its 15th Bachelor of Science degree program. K-State students can enroll in the program starting fall 2025. Learn more about the program at https://bit.ly/4n2oXd2

The impact on job creation and the Kansas economy are hard to quantify, but since moving into their dedicated off-campus facility in 1995, the college's Technology Development Institute has completed more than 3,000 projects for more than 700 clients, providing internship opportunities for more than 700 K-State students.
