Tinkering with Scarlett

We had a blast celebrating the final class of summer with bubbles, plus some other favorite activities. Thanks for a great summer, explorers!

As nature would have it, after many 100+ degree days of class, the “Keep Your Cool” lesson would happen on the 70 degree and wet day. But we still had a blast exploring different temperatures and sensations with our piggy friends!

Over and Under and All Around! Our vestibular systems got quite the workout this week!

Do you know the color of the wind? We explored the wind with so many senses this week. And even had a little grasshopper visitor in Both classes!

When 92 degrees is a “cold front,” you know it’s been a hot week! But exploring color and painting with frozen fruits and treasures helped us stay cool while learning about the visual sense this week. Look at those beautiful canvases!

Week 3 brought Summer Symphony, with all the sounds of summer plus great ones created by the little explorers!

Now we may not have as strong of a sense of smell as our featured creature the bear (2000x stronger!!), but last week we he used that special olfactory sense to make nature perfumes. We had a great time using our senses to find our special scent bundles in the outdoor classroom, and finding nature smells too! And they all came together beautifully in everyone’s perfumes! 👃🏼🌼
