Eddie. Damn! There is no denying how he changed the guitar in the late 70s into the 80s. He built what didn’t exist to make the sounds he was going for, like Les Paul. The music Van Halen produced while they were all still kids is undeniably some of the best Rock & Roll ever. His sound was crazy. I saw him 4th row center in Houston at 13 years old! And he took me from being a metal head to starting to listen to more melodic guitar playing and ultimately led to me discovering Jazz. I even played Eruption into I’m The One at my Junior High School talent show with a Full Stack. Back to The Future Style. The nuns were freaking out. Haha! He was the segue. RIP!
