“If you asked me during almost all of high school I would’ve told you that I didn’t think I would ever have my group of girls. I was even more scared knowing I was moving to a new state for college. However, when I took the leap of faith to rush and ended up in Theta, that changed everything. From the moment I went to Theta for the first time and immediately talked to Fern (who later became my big and one of my favorite people) and then on bid day got my new member moms Bree and Ava and all of my new sisters, I could tell that this was a such a loving group of women. Theta gave me a group of girls that high school me could’ve never imagined having. From the endless laughs, support, side quests, and dedication, this group of girls has brought so much to my life over the past year. Whether I see some of these girls every day, every week, or even just every once in a while, just knowing that they are a familiar face on campus that I can say hi to just makes me smile. We often say “faith, hope, love, but the greatest of these is love”, but being a Theta has really shown me just how true that really is. TLAM 💜😽🪁”

“Alana and I have been friends since fifth grade. We stood right next to each other in front of Theta during the first round of recruitment, but had no idea we were going to be Thetas together until bid night. That night will forever be one of my favorite memories. Having a familiar face in Theta has made my experience so special. We get to go date parties and sisterhood events together and it’s so much fun! Alana is endlessly caring and thoughtful and never fails to make me laugh. She is constant and reliable. She inspires me to be the best person I can be. I am so grateful for this life-changing friendship and I can’t wait to be roommates next year!”

“I chose Theta because it immediately felt like a genuine home to me. My first visit to Theta was late at night after a long recruitment day, and I remember standing outside the door and telling myself this round would be a throw-away. But when I was welcomed into Theta as a PNM, I felt seen, listened to, and wanted (even if it was 9pm). The conversations I had during recruitment were kind, genuine, and showed me what true sisterhood can look like. I wanted nothing more than to be a Theta, and opening my bid was one of the most exciting nights! The members in Theta have always made me feel loved, cared about, and genuinely connected to a community. Freshman year, my friendship with my big, Sophia, made me so excited to be in Theta and she has made me feel more seen than anyone ever has. After having the opportunity to live in the house, I am so grateful for the time I’ve spent with these girls, the adventures we’ve gone on, and everything we have to look forward to. Serving as an officer has given me an immense sense of purpose and pride in our organization, its members, and its values. My Greek family, roommates, and all of my friends make me want to be a Theta for life! 💛”
