A special congratulations to our very own Dr. Kelsie Doty for receiving the Myers-Alford Teaching Award this year. The purpose of this fund is to honor the memory of the Alford and Myers families and to provide teaching awards in the College of Health and Human Sciences. Recipients are recognized for their outstanding commitment to the personal and professional growth and education of their students. Dr. Doty was one of three to receive this award from the college, representing the School of Consumer Sciences. We are so proud of Dr. Doty and so lucky to have her in our department!

Lola Stice’s senior capstone collection: Sweet Pea🌸🩷
“Sweet Pea is a romantic, nature inspired collection made from deconstructed wedding gowns. Inspired by florals, soft movement, and the beauty of nature, each piece was hand draped, hand dyed in greens, pinks, and purples, and finished with detailed hand beading. This project is all about giving new life to garments through slow, intentional craftsmanship and sharing my love for storytelling through fashion. I think that this collection is a true representation of all of the work I have done through the years and showcases my love for not only fashion, but the whimsical side that we don’t see often.”
