The Kansas State University Organ Studio's second Halloween recital will take place at 9 p.m. on Halloween night in All Faiths Chapel on the Kansas State University campus! Come and enjoy hearing J.S. Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor, BWV 565 and other great works from the organ repertoire. Members of the organ studio will come dressed in costume. Last year Dr. Pickering dressed up as a frat boy. He's taking costume suggestions for this year (preferably something not expensive or time-intensive)! Please suggest in the comments! Professor David Pickering has begun service as the organist at First Presbyterian Church in Manhattan, Kansas this month. The organ he will play, built by Dobson Pipe Organ Builders in Lake City, Iowa, contains two manuals and forty-three ranks. First Presbyterian Church has always been very generous with letting KSU organ students practice there, giving them the opportunity to practice on a fine mechanical action organ.
