Our estimating and VDC Bootcamps kicked off earlier this week. A great opportunity for faculty learning and collaboration.

From the regional outstanding educator nominees, ASC selects one individual as the ASC International Outstanding Educator Award. This award is given to a faculty member who demonstrates a strong record of contribution to construction education, excellence in teaching, national/international service to the ASC, and dedication to the construction profession. This year's recipient is Sonya Meekel, Technological University - Dublin.

Each year, from the nominations for Regional Teaching Award, ASC selects a recipient for the International Excellence in Teaching Award. This recipient best demonstrates excellence in teaching, contributions to construction education, service to the ASC, and dedication to the construction profession. This year's recipient is Preston Christensen, Boise State University.

Each year ASC awards outstanding untenured or tenure track faculty, who have two to six years of teaching experience. This award recognizes a faculty member's contribution to construction education, excellence in teaching, service to ASC, and dedication to the construction profession. The recipients of the Regional Teaching Award for Region 7 is Bita Astaneh Asl, California State University - East Bay.

Each year, ASC awards the Regional Outstanding Educator Award to a mid-to late career faculty member. This award recognizes the faculty member' contribution to construction education, excellence in teaching, national/international service to the ASC, and dedication to the construction profession. This year the Regional Outstanding Educator Award for Region 8 is Sonya Meekel, Technological University - Dublin.
