Yin Bagua Forward Triple Piercing Palm technique is a highly effective drill for mid-range attacks. The primary objective of this technique is to target the eyes or throat while executing a kick to the enemy's belt line. To execute this technique, initiate with two forward piercing palm attacks, followed by a forward stomping kick to the belt line, and conclude with a piercing palm attack to the eyes or throat. Repetition is crucial to master this technique; therefore, practice it repeatedly until it becomes second nature. To achieve the required speed and accuracy, dedicate several hours to practicing this drill, starting with 50 repetitions per day and gradually increasing to 250 or even 1000 reps. Ultimately, the key to mastering this technique is consistent practice to develop proficiency. Once familiar with this technique, you can explore its application in various scenarios and free fighting. When executing the forward piercing palm, focus your energy on the fingertips, maintaining a natural curve of the fingers and avoiding straightening them, which may cause injury. Tuck your thumb into the center of your palm as you strike, targeting the eyes or throat. The forward stomping kick should aim for the lower crotch area, no higher than the belt line. Finally, conclude with a third forward piercing palm as your opponent collapses from the kick, targeting the eyes or throat to neutralize the threat. Bagua is often referred to as the art of overkill, and this technique exemplifies this notion when practiced and executed correctly. - Novell Bell, also known as BlackTaoist

BaGua Dan Cao is a fundamental, straightforward linear form that encompasses both offensive and defensive techniques, emphasizing forward movement, covering distance, and utilizing fingertip and palm-edge strikes to target vulnerable areas, including the eyes and throat of an opponent, while also incorporating a singular lower palm technique designed to attack the lower portion of an adversary's body, ultimately rendering it a highly effective shadowboxing routine once a practitioner has mastered the techniques and developed the ability to adapt and apply them in unpredictable, dynamic situations. BT BaGua Q & A Front Pierce & Hollow of the heart kick. This particular technique is also considered a downward chopping kick, also known in other martial art systems as an ax kick. In reality, there are numerous ways to punch and kick. Both techniques are universally applicable, regardless of the martial art system practiced. Many techniques share similarities in ex*****on. This particular technique aims to pierce the eyes of the enemy as you finish them off with an ax kick, landing on the top of their head or striking downward across their nose. To execute this technique effectively, a practitioner must practice for numerous hours to develop muscle memory, allowing for natural ex*****on without thought or hesitation. Sometimes, you can disguise the technique by gaining your enemy's attention using your hands to set up the ax kick. The kick can also be used as an upward attack, a rising kick targeting the throat or eyes of the opponent in a piercing upward motion, which must be executed quickly to prevent your enemy from reading your movements or predicting your true intentions. This particular technique originates from the 6 palm of the second way of Cao shi Yin BaGua 64 palms circular routine. Front Pierce & Hollow of the heart kick. -check out my combat manual

Yin baguazhang thrusting palm & head, kick drill, also known as Roundhouse kick. This is an effective offensive technique to practice solo and eventually with a heavy bag, wall bag, or hanging bag to enhance accuracy. Currently, I am demonstrating the shadow boxing drill, which many modern Bagua practitioners neglect, leading to ineffectiveness in actual combat situations. The purpose of this technique is to attack, targeting the face or sternum area, followed by a roundhouse kick to the rib cage or head, focusing on the temple in this particular drill. To master this technique, practice with numerous repetitions, starting with at least 50 reps and gradually increasing to 250 reps, resulting in improved stamina, balance, and skill ex*****on. Consistent practice is essential. Check out my downloadable instructional JRQ BaGua -https://payhip.com/b/wIVM

When you’re feeling bored on a Saturday, an excellent activity to consider is practicing Yin bagua to relax the mind and maintain physical fitness. Additionally, this form is highly regarded. Practicing it has enabled me to lose a significant amount of weight and feel energized. This is the second form of Yin BaGua Dan Cao, which is a routine practiced in a linear fashion using the circular method. This routine primarily focuses on redirection or deflecting attacks while simultaneously counterattacking and moving to gain distance while striking the opponent. It incorporates numerous piercing palm, flat palm, and cutting palm attacks, as well as straight-forward kicks and crescent kicks designed to target the opponent's temple from the blind side. I am currently practicing a few sections of this form in the hallway, and upon counting, I believe the total movement of this form consists of approximately 64 movements, which is somewhat unusual, but it explains why it is referred to as the 64 palms. Regardless of whether one practices in a circular or linear fashion, the movements follow a specific template. Ultimately, consistent practice is essential to achieve skill. ☯️ Check out my downloadable instructional JRQ BaGua -https://payhip.com/b/wIVM

BT Q&A I am practicing the grinding palm technique, which is akin to the second palm change from the first method of the Cao Shi Yin Bagua Zhang branch. This is an exceptionally effective technique that can be highly successful when executed with precise timing in relation to an opponent's actions. Moreover, this technique can be utilized offensively, not solely defensively, as many practitioners of this particular Bagua branch seem to believe, which is far from accurate. The technique is predicated upon responding to an opponent's actions, allowing one to counter or preempt their attack. The grinding aspect of this technique involves targeting an opponent's nerve centers, primarily in the neck, rib, or throat areas, which can be highly debilitating. It is essential to note that the grinding palm is not suitable for casual free fighting or sparring, as it demands control due to its swift ex*****on in hand-to-hand combat. Practitioners of Yin Bagua can develop remarkable speed through extensive practice. By dedicating numerous hours to mastering this technique, one can attain considerable proficiency. A significant advantage of this technique is that it does not necessitate practicing circular walking. It can be practiced while moving forward, backward, or laterally, requiring minimal space. This technique excels in mid to close-quarters combat, but to achieve effectiveness, practitioners must commit to extensive practice until it becomes an instinctive response.

My school of thought - truth in the martial art? Where should I start? To be an urban warrior, one must possess spirit, heart, fearlessness, and most importantly, honesty with oneself to discover inner truth. Unfortunately, numerous individuals I encountered today are perpetuating fraud due to their lack of genuine martial art truth, as they are not seeking truth but rather a false facade, living an illusion of self-proclaimed truth in the martial art world but in reality, they lack the true essence of that world. As a result, they pretend to be something they are not, and this is why we have the blind leading the blind, attempting to teach others to see when they themselves are unable to see. It's akin to one's finger pointing towards the universe, but the individual cannot see their own finger pointing, yet the universe can perceive them for who they truly are.

BT Q&A - JiangRongQiao Baguazhang Single Change of Palm. In this video response to emails, I will provide my expert analysis, based on extensive experience, on effectively practicing the single change, a pivotal movement in most Bagua styles that teaches directional changes, offensive and defensive techniques utilizing a 360° circular motion, enabling effective response from any angle of the circumference of an imaginary circle. To truly grasp the application of this method, it is essential to engage in free fighting practice against individuals with diverse combat backgrounds, allowing adaptation to various tactics, sizes, and fighting personalities, including aggressive, counter-fighting, and tricky fighters. This approach facilitates a deeper understanding of how to spontaneously apply one's art, acting freely and unpredictably, while mastering the single change of palm movement for real-world free fight situations.
