Phil McKnight imagined the logical endpoint of guitar-brand expansion:

Gibson bourbon, aged in mahogany casks.
Fender lighting, because musicians apparently understand lamps.
PRS w**e, balanced, expressive, and covered in birds.

So I made the ads.

Concept parody inspired by the Know Your Gear podcast. These are not real products.

Google Shopping showed this Mojotone cover at $4.73.
Clicked through and the product page says $9.

Probably a Google indexing/cache mismatch, but I’ve seen this happen more than once with gear listings online.

Anybody know how often Google Shopping updates prices?

Half-out-of-phase wiring on a Tele is one of those mods that can add a whole new voice to your guitar. A straight out-of-phase sound usually ends up too thin and nasal, which is why a lot of players don’t stick with it.

The “half” version solves that by putting a small capacitor or resistor in series with one pickup (often the neck). Instead of canceling everything, it shapes what’s canceled, leaving you with a funky, quacky tone that still has some body.

Common values people use:

0.0047 µF cap – brighter, sharper quack.

0.010 µF cap – rounder, less thin.

0.0068 µF cap – middle ground.

Or with resistors:

1k series resistor – subtle, keeps more low end.

6.2k series resistor – more pronounced quack, still fuller than full out-of-phase.

Film caps like Mallory 150s or Orange Drops work well here. Silver mica is better for small treble-bleed values, not this mod.

It gives you another usable sound in the arsenal. If you’re curious, wire it to a push-pull so you can swap in and out and decide what works best for your style.
