This month, we celebrate Pride Month, recognizing the history and progress of LGBTQ people in the US.
As our guest speaker this month, we highlight the career of Harrison Cheng, Funds Controller at the Environmental Protection Agency and former Peace Corps Volunteer.
Harrison started his career in banking, but left to pursue success and fulfillment in the public and nonprofit sectors. His ambition led him halfway around the world to China on a mission to educate, foster community and work with local leaders in tackling the most pressing challenges of our generation.
Join us for a conversation on service, pride, and living your values!

About Harrison
Harrison Cheng is a former Peace Corps volunteer who served as an English instructor in Lanzhou, north-west China. The two incredible years were spent building community and empowering students, teachers, and locals. He then joined NYU Shanghai as a Community Engagement and Outreach Program Manager to develop partnerships for service learning / volunteer programs.
Harrison now works in the federal government at the EPA as a funds controller. He graduated with a Finance and International Business degree from NYU Stern and started his career at Citibank, but discovered that success and fulfillment look different for everyone, and work in the public / nonprofit sectors can provide some of life’s most meaningful and rewarding moments. He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Administration from the University of Notre Dame.
