Alpha of Clovia

The Clovia girls are staying busy this summer!
From classrooms to clinics, farms to offices, our girls are gaining hands-on experience and building their futures through internships and jobs in so many different fields.
We’re so proud of the dedication, ambition, and curiosity our members bring to every opportunity. There’s no one path to success, and we love seeing our Clovia girls pursue what they’re passionate about!

This July 30th, we’re proud to spotlight three of our incredible alumni who are making a difference every day as educators. From the classroom to their communities, these women are inspiring the next generation and showing just how far the values of Alpha of Clovia can reach.

Clovia through every color💜

We are so excited to introduce our newest addition to the alum advisors, Kristen Schmalzried. Kristen was part of the 1988 pledge class at Clovia, but it has always been a huge part of her life. A fun fact about Kristen is that three generations of her family have been Clovia women.
Kristen is married to her husband Gerald for 35 years and has two kids, Laine and Aaron. Laine graduated from K-State in December and Aaron is a senior at Missouri State.
Kristen grew up on a farm near Abilene, KS, but as an adult she lived in Oklahoma, California, Texas, and Missouri. They are now back in Abilene, where she works as a photographer and equestrian.
She says, “I’m so honored to serve in this role, and hope that my life experiences can be helpful to the women of Clovia.”
