This past Wednesday in Ms. Espiritu’s band class, sixth grade students were introduced to a variety of musical instruments. In partnership with Eckroth Music, ļæ¼Ms. EspĆritu and Mrs. Ganser demonstrated the trumpet, flute, clarinet, trombone, baritone, saxophone, snare drum, and French Horn. Students were guided in learning to make their first sounds so that they could select their instrument of choice.

This year, students may rent instruments through Eckroth Music, through the school for a small annual fee, or provide their own.

For incoming band students, if you have any questions about instrument selection, please reach out directly to Ms. EspĆritu. ļæ¼

Staff members throughout the district have been preparing for students to start school next week. In our library, Ms. Richardson and Mrs. Kruse have ordered many new books, audiobooks, and graphic novels. They have also ļæ¼created welcoming displays to entice young readers. When in doubt, go to the library.

As athletic teams and spectators enter our gym near the locker rooms, they will now be greeted by a 9-foot tiger. The Northern Edge Painting Company, owned by Sarah Keller, a former Tiger cheerleader from the class of 2011, has been serving our school for more than 100 hours to paint a mural and spruce up the hallways near the locker rooms. Funded by our generous Booster Club, this mural has been in the planning stages for the past three weeks. When you attend the next event in our gym, please take a moment to look at our new mural. ļæ¼

šŸ“¢ Parents & Guardians: Annual Registration Reminder!

As we prepare for the 2026–27 school year, please remember to complete your student’s Annual Registration through Infinite Campus.

⭐ ALL students in grades K–12 must complete the Infinite Campus annual registration process each year. If you have questions, please contact our District Registrar, Mrs. Grevious ([email protected]).

šŸ« Infinite Campus Annual Registration – Grades K–12: https://www.rollontigers.org/parents/infinite-campus

šŸ… Student-Athletes: Please note that Arbiter registration is a separate process required for students in grades 6–12 who plan to participate in athletics. Completing your athlete’s Arbiter registration does not replace the required Infinite Campus annual registration.

Thank you for helping us get everything ready for another great year at Manhattan Public Schools! 🐾
