The book "Handbook on Rural and Remote Education" Edited by Jerry D. Johnson, College of Education, East Carolina University and Hobart L. Harmon, College of Education, Kansas State University, was recently published and includes several chapters by faculty in the Educational Leadership Department, including: Haijun Kang, Susan Yelich Biniecki, PhD, and Donna Augustine-Shaw.

This month Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University hosted their 2nd Annual Convention of the New Professional Education Cooperation (NPEC) & The 2025 XJTLU New Professional Education (TVET) Innovation Annual Conference in Suzhou, China.🎓🤝 Industry leaders, educational pioneers, and vocational experts united to shape the future of professional education. Our very own Dr. Haijun Kang gave an inspiring keynote on "Educational Leadership & Tech Innovation in the Age of Digital Intelligence"! 🌐✨ He was also a part of the dynamic panel exploring the impact of micro-credentials in vocational education. Congratulations to Dr. Farhan Sadique, Assistant Professor in Adult Learning and Leadership, 2025 Recipient of the Distinguished Dissertation Award from the International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI). The Distinguished Dissertation Award promotes excellence in research that focuses on Performance Improvement Technology. Dr. Sadique's dissertation: Exploration of Salesperson Competencies to Increase Customer Engagement in Home Improvement Retail Organizations in the USA.
