Pacific Cotillion

The word Cotillion comes from the French word for petticoat. Students gain an appreciation of the joy of music and dance.

The elegant ladies of the early eighteenth century wore beautifully artistic petticoats which were designed to flare-out the ladies ballgowns as they rapidly turned while dancing. Grades 3 – 12
Our goal is to teach students social etiquette by exposure to a formal social setting, instruction, and by good example. We treat our students with respect, exposing them to good manners and gracious behavior in a fun, party atmosphere, specifically designed for each age group to enjoy. Because students enjoy our party lessons, they are anxious to return year after year, and are able to refine and increase their social skills. The party lesson will offer instruction in traditional social dance such as Waltz, Fox Trot, Swing, Cha Cha and Tango, as well as popular new dance favorites including Rock, Disco, Hip-Hop and Salsa, with occasional novelty dances and mixers. They have fun with their friends, play interesting games, win prizes, and enjoy refreshments while learning social etiquette that will contribute to their future success. Emphasis will be placed on correct etiquette, social dance and fun. Through instruction and practice, good manners become second nature, and students gain confidence and poise by learning how to handle themselves in a variety of social situations. Each party will be strictly supervisedand appropriate behavior is required from all students. Please email for any further information, however, we request that you refrain from calling on the day of Cotillion.
