Promoting Bodysurfing Contests and Products Bernard's High Schools in the beach portion of Los Angeles.

Gillis Beach Bodysurfing Association grew from a central sandy beach location in Playa del Rey and the young men who attended Westchester High or St. Summers were spent swimming in the Pacific Ocean and riding waves.
