Learn how to describe texture in Spanish! 🥖 Crujiente.
The Spanish adjective "crujiente" means "crunchy" or "crispy" in English.
When describing food texture, we use the verb estar (to be) because it refers to the state or condition of the food at the moment you are eating it:
El pan está crujiente. → The bread is crunchy.
Las papas fritas están crujientes. → The french fries are crispy.
La galleta está crujiente. → The cookie is crunchy.
Notice that crujiente changes to crujientes in the plural, but stays the same for both masculine and feminine nouns!

we practiced the verb ser and descriptions, with adjectives laid out on the table so students could see how they change (bonito → bonita). Everyone was speaking, building sentences, and having a great time!

Yesterday's Spanish class at Uniondale Public Library was full of energy! 🌎 We practiced the verb "estar" — talking about where we are ("Estoy en Argentina," "Estoy en Perú") — and explored food adjectives to describe how things taste, like "está salado" or "está bien" 🍗🍟.

All hands-on, up and moving, not just sitting at a desk. Two brand-new students joined us and loved it! 💛
