Today’s final Monday Morning Assembly of the school year was especially meaningful. First, Gabriella Palma ’27 was honored with the Nassau County District Attorney’s Shield Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions to our school community. We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved achievement.
We also held our Rising Class Ceremony, where each grade moved into their new seats for next year’s Monday Morning Assemblies, marking an exciting step toward the year ahead.

Last Tuesday, we gathered one final time as a school community for the Baccalaureate Mass with the Class of 2026. Together, we gave thanks for the many blessings of the past four years and prayed for God’s guidance as our graduates begin the next chapter of their lives. Following Mass, we celebrated at the Senior Banquet, recognizing the accomplishments, leadership, and contributions of the members of the Class of 2026. It was a wonderful evening of fellowship and gratitude as we honored a remarkable group of young men and women who have left a lasting impact on Saint Mary’s.

We were honored to welcome Bishop Barres to Saint Mary’s High School. During his visit, he met with students, shared words of encouragement and faith, and engaged in thoughtful conversations about education, leadership, and living out the Gospel. Thank you, Bishop Barres, for inspiring our school community with your presence and wisdom.

Taco Tuesday + Cinco de Mayo = A Great Day at St. Mary’s!
A big thank you to our GAEL Parent Association for treating our faculty to a fantastic themed lunch! From a full spread of tacos from Tony’s Tacos to all the thoughtful details, it was a great way to celebrate together.
We are always grateful for the dedication of our faculty and moments like these remind us how blessed we are to have such strong support from our parent community.
