Falter between two opinions

1 Kings 18:14-22 (NKJV) 14 And now you say, ‘Go, tell your master, “Elijah is here.“‘ He will kill me!” 15 Then Elijah said, “As the LORD of hosts lives, before whom I stand, I will surely present myself to him today.” 16 So Obadiah went to meet Ahab, and told him; and Ahab went to meet Elijah. 17 Then it happened, when Ahab saw Elijah, that Ahab said to him, ”Is that you, O troubler of Israel?” 18 And he answered, “I have not troubled Israel, but you and your father’s house have, in that you have forsaken the commandments of the LORD and have followed the Baals....

We were so glad to welcome Pastor Billy Graham Paulouse back as he joined us for the 3rd time over the years! He updated our congregation on all the amazing things God has been doing in his several ministries in India, and shared a powerful word as well. Our pastors prayed for him, his families, and his ministries. An altar was called for those whose hearts were stirred for missions. It was a wonderful evening! A big thanks to Pastor Billy Graham Paulouse!

The Power of Repentance!

Repentance is one of the most misunderstood and underpreached words and acts in the Christian faith. There is a stigma around the word, as if it is reserved for serious offenses against God. We hesitate to say "I repent," and we hesitate to counsel others to "repent." We like to reserve repentance only for the sinner, or for the one who is living a lifestyle of rebellion against God....

We can grow accustomed to the name Jesus if we grew up hearing prayers end "in Jesus ' name". We can lack revelation, conviction, and understanding regarding the power of the name of Jesus when we have not been taught the power that it carries and why it carries that power. We may have prayed that way and not really witnessed the power of the prayer. We are called to be a people who walk in the delegated authority of Jesus Christ, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. When we pray "In the Jesus Name", we should expect to see that power of his name made manifest!

It is a trend now, when outside a church community, to hear the statement, “You can pray to your higher power.” Many people are praying. They even address their “higher...

Counsel and who you receive it from matters…

1 Kings 12:6-10 (NKJV) 6 Then King Rehoboam consulted the elders who stood before his father Solomon while he still lived, and he said, “How do you advise me to answer these people?” 7 And they spoke to him, saying, “If you will be a servant to these people today, and serve them, and answer them, and speak good words to them, then they will be your servants forever.” 8 But he rejected the advice which the elders had given him, and consulted the young men who had grown up with him, who stood before him....

Solomon, his wisdom, his wealth, his wives, his heart, his end.

1 Kings 10:23 - 11:3 (NKJV) 23 So King Solomon surpassed all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom. 24 Now all the earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put in his heart. 25 Each man brought his present: articles of silver and gold, garments, armor, spices, horses, and mules, at a set rate year by year....
