FAMILY FOCUS FRIDAY!!
On Monday, we shared developmental milestones in the area of cognitive skills for a 2 month old child. Here are some fun family activities to do with your child to promote that skill area of development:

⭐Let your child follow a rattle, shiny spoon, or your face with his eyes. Hold the object or your face about 10-12 inches from your child's face and slowly move left to right. Talk softly as you move. Your child will enjoy staring and tracking.

⭐ Your baby is beginning to hold their head up without support. While spending sometime on her tummy, put some things close to her on the floor to give her something to look at. She will enjoy seeing new things up close. Tell your baby what she is looking at: "I see you looking at the book".

By the age of 2 months, your child should reach the following cognitive milestones:

⭐ Watches you as you move
⭐ Looks at a toy for several seconds

FAMILY FOCUS FRIDAY!!
On Monday, we shared developmental milestones in the area of cognitive skills for an 30 month old child. Here are some fun family activities to do with your child to promote that skill area of development:

⭐Line up 4 to 5 small cars or other objects in a row to make a "train". Make sure that your child sees what you did. Now give your child some objects to line up and make a "train". You can line up different objects, such as spoons or shells.

⭐ Give your child a plain piece of paper and a few washable crayons or markers and have him/her draw a picture. Ask him/her to tell you about the picture as your child is drawing it. Write your child's story on another piece of paper. Once complete, make a book that you can later read with your child.
