If your student(s) attended Cool School held August 3 thru August 14, the student’s incentives are ready in the front office for pick up. The amounts will vary due to days attended. Please see Cis at the front desk.
Reminder: this is for summer school and not the enrollment incentive.

Good Morning Wounded Knee District school families!
We will be giving enrollment incentives to parents who have enrolled their students by 4pm today and they attend the next two weeks. We have extended the enrollment incentive to 4pm today due to copy machine being down this morning. There are now enrollment packets in front office. If you need a packet delivered please call Kristie at 605-867-4364. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience we may have caused by the delay’s.
**Students must be present for two weeks before incentives will be distributed.**

Good morning WKDS families!!
Just a reminder, due to safety reasons, we are asking parents and guardians to please keep your children out of the two construction sites (school and housing). This is very dangerous to have them in the sites while construction is in progress. Also please also keep them from riding bikes on the roads during construction hours as trucks are going in and out all day long. We want to keep our most valuable gifts (our wakanyeja) safe and protected! Thank you for helping us with this matter!! Have a good weekend!

Good afternoon WKDS families!! We will be sending a permission slip home with your student who have been attending Cool School.
What: Field trip to Jump & Slide Rapid City, SD (Lunch at Golden Corral).
When: Thursday August 13, 2026
Time: Buses will pick up between 7:30 - 8:00am and leave school at 8:30
Please sign and return slip to the front desk. Students who don’t have a slip signed will be taken back home.

We will once again be doing drawings for our enrollment incentive. This year we are trying different prizes.
**to get your name eligible you must complete an enrollment packet by August 21st at 1:30pm. Also, your student(s) must attend WKDS for first two weeks of school.
Please contact the school at 605-867-4350 if you do not have transportation to pick up an application.
