Wow, everyone! THANK YOU.

We just reached our goal of collecting $500 to support
“Christmas for Kids” (Pinon Project)

Your donations will be used to provide gifts and necessities for five of our area children this Christmas. This is the first service-related SCCC West Student Advisory Committee project. We hope to participate in many more projects like this in the future as we build our ranks.

We are overwhelmed by your generosity. Thank you so very much.

Just a reminder that the Student Advisory Committee is sponsoring a cookie exchange fundraiser TOMORROW – see below for details.

We just received details on the four children we’ll be sponsoring this Christmas. These are local, Montezuma-County children – you can help make this a memorable holiday for these kids!

Please help by bringing in a few dozen or more cookies or holiday treats that we can sell tomorrow. And buy some for yourself! In the Commons, starting at 7:30.

(If you’re not in the mood for treats, you can also donate money directly – look for the tree in the Go!Zone or see Kim Pixler to make a donation)

Just to clarify, the cookie exchange is a fundraiser to raise money to help sponsor a Montezuma County family for Christmas. We’re selling a dozen assorted cookies to people for $3 each. We are also raising money through the Christmas Tree in the Go!Zone. You can choose a denomination from the tree and take it to the bookstore cashier to make your donation.

We really hope you can participate by donating a couple dozen homemade cookies or holiday treats for Wednesday morning. The more assorted cookies we have, the better!

If you can’t bring them Wednesday, feel free to drop them at the Go!Zone desk earlier and we’ll include them in the exchange.

If you plan on donating, please RSVP to me so we have a better idea of how many cookies we’ll have. This is a very worthy cause and the Student Advisory Council really appreciates your participation.
