We are enrolling for 2023-2024! Our play-based nursery school emphasizes social and emotional learning while supporting all areas of child development. Our small, part-time, child-centered program has been nurturing and supporting young children for nearly 50 years. Each day at school includes free play, circle time, art, snack, and outdoor play. The chicks have gone home to the farm to meet their parents. Here’s Uno and her parents having a Mother’s Day reunion. We’ll miss those little babies but are happy knowing they are running and pecking free with their families!

Yesterday the chicks were visited by Geralyn, the farmer who shared the eggs with us. She checked them over, gave them a vaccination, and told us they look great! One little guy- Uno we think, has some crooked toes. Geralyn made him some special shoes out of cardboard and bandaids!

Fourteen babies are now in the habitat! They are fluffy and noisy, and so, so cute!

And now there are 12! We've moved the oldest ones out of the incubator into their new temporary habitat. They are keeping warm together under the brooder and have started to explore the food and water.
Those that hatched today are still in the incubator drying out and resting. They'll join their siblings soon! Just a few eggs left to hatch!!

After a busy night in the incubator we now have a total of 7 chicks! We still have 11 to go so today should be just as exciting!
