Last Friday we held our first Paws Assembly of the School Year!🐾

Once a month students from each classroom K-4 are chosen by their teacher to receive a PAWS Award and/or Red Lantern Award.
During the assembly they are called up by Mr. Larney and Mrs. Jackson to receive their award and be recognized by staff and peers.

Red Lantern 🏮 awards are awarded to a student who shows strength and perseverance through something difficult. Could be academics, anxiety around school, reaching a goal they set for themselves, etc

Paws 🐾 awards are awarded to a student for being a leader for their peers - in class, the halls, recess, lunch, the bus, etc. The student who follows our behavior and expectations:
Promotes kindness
Acts safely
Works hard
Shows respect

Also, During the assembly the class with the highest attendance for the month is awarded a trophy. Septembers class is Mrs. Barger’s 1st grade class with 99.24% attendance for the month of September. Mr Coulon’s class came very close with 99.16% attendance!
