💙 The outdoor community never ceases to amaze us!

Today we were absolutely blown away by the incredible generosity of Denise Stark and the amazing members of Pemi Valley Hikers!

A little while ago, Denise reached out to ask if Thrive Outdoors could use a donated pair of snowshoes. Of course, we gratefully said yes. What I didn't realize was that she had also reached out to her friends in the Pemi Valley Hikers community to see if anyone else had gear they were willing to donate.

When I arrived today, I was expecting to pick up one pair of snowshoes.
Instead, Denise opened the back of her vehicle to reveal NINE pairs of snowshoes, two sets of microspikes, and multiple sets of trekking poles! 🤯

I was overwhelmed with gratitude.

This incredible donation means that so many more people will have the opportunity to experience the joy, healing, confidence, and connection that come from spending time outdoors this winter.

These items will help support individuals in the recovery community, as well as participants from organizations we partner with, including MPAL and Big Brothers Big Sisters of New Hampshire.

To Denise, and to every member of Pemi Valley Hikers who contributed THANK YOU! Your generosity is about so much more than outdoor gear. You're helping remove barriers, open doors to new adventures, and remind people that they are supported by a community that truly cares.

This is what the outdoor community is all about. ❤️🥾❄️

This is a fantastic article! One thing we love to teach is that you do not have to go and get the newest, flashiest, and priciest gear out there to have a good time and be safe! Especially if you’re new to the outdoors!

Some of our favorite places to buy gear include Sierra, Walmart, and Marketplace!

🍫Happy World Chocolate Day! 🍫

At Thrive we believe that trail chocolate is vital for a happy and fulfilling hike!

Pro Tip: Bringing chocolate in the summertime can be a difficult and perilous endeavor! Freeze your chocolate before hand and it will be the perfect temperature by the time you have lunch!

Our favorite chocolate trail treats are the dark chocolate Reesie‘s cups! They also make an excellent s’more as well!
