Have we mentioned how wildly talented our Clay County Extension Homemakers are?!

Our 2026 County Cultural Arts Competition was filled with incredible creativity and beautiful work, and we’re so proud of all our entries and ribbon winners: Veronica Boley, Connie Fields, Katie Havenar, Pam Watterson, and Gail Voyles.

Blue ribbon winners will now advance to the Wilderness Trail Area Cultural Arts Competition next weekend in Harlan County. Help us congratulate them and wish them luck!

Join us for a fun 4-H Family Painting Event and create your own adorable wooden gnome door hanger!

This free event is open to youth ages 5-18 and their parents, grandparents, or guardians. Each participant will paint and take home their own wooden gnome door hanger, making it a fun opportunity to get creative and make special memories together!

🎨✨ Create & Inspire Meets this Friday, October 9! ✨🎨

Looking for a fun, welcoming place to work on your favorite craft or hobby? Join Create & Inspire, led by Lona Cornett, on the second Friday of each month from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Clay County EXCEL Building, 86 Muddy Gap Road.

Create & Inspire offers a warm and friendly atmosphere where you can connect with others while enjoying your creative pursuits. With plenty of space to spread out your supplies, you can relax, create, and let your imagination flow!
