Back to School is creeping back upon us- so is BACK TO DANCE!

Nationals is over, and it’s time to exhale.

For seasoned dancers, it’s a time to watch and rewatch the videos of champion dancers to see what you may want to work on; time to wait for the 2027 Championship steps to be unleashed; and time to cross train and work on imbalances.

For new dancers, it is a perfect time to begin. It’s a time to work on fundamentals and building structure; to try a newer dance, and to make new friends.

For everyone, It’s a time when dancing in the full kilt is less sweaty. OK, so that is more of a late September thing, but a sturdy gal can Hope, can’t she?

Classes resume fully tomorrow, Tuesday, August 4 at Ladue Chapel. Details in pinned comment or PM us 🙂

The United States Inter-Regional Championship (our National Championship to qualify for Cowal World Championship) is fully underway in Dallas.

We want to extend our love, best wishes, and sheer joy for all dancers competing this week.

We know the competition is hard, your fellow competitors are intimidating, and the pressure is on.

Dance hard, recover harder, rest, refuel, rinse and repeat.

BUT we want you to love every moment. That is the heart of Highland Dance. We do it because it’s hard. We do it because it is fun.

We do it because we LOVE IT.

You owe it to your future self to look around and see where you are, to acknowledge the effort to get there both by yourself and those who have supported you. Be proud of everyone in the room from the organizers to the dancers. The parents to the event staff. From the cleaning crew to the uber driver. Be proud, be grateful.

Get those kilts swinging!!!
