Clay County Autism Awareness Walk

Clay County Autism Awareness Walk Clay County Autism Awareness Walk is dedicated to raising Autism Awareness and Advocating in the state of Kentucky and in all surrounding areas.

We are an organization based in Manchester, Kentucky. Our purpose is to raise awareness about Autism in Clay and surrounding counties. In 2011 Clay County hosted its first ever Autism Awareness Walk. Over 600 people attended and participated with the sole purpose to raise awareness. This year we'll be raising awareness, and our goal is to have even more people come and take part in this remarkable

event. We want to raise funding to equip our therapists that work with our children with iPads as learning tools to help them grow and learn. Early studies are showing that with the use of devices, like the iPad, children on the autism spectrum have stronger engagement in software based curriculums that can lead to remarkable improvements in language and communication skills. We want every kid that has special needs in our schools to have this tool in their hands to give them every opportunity to have a better future.
