Dear Lord,
Today, I pray for the ability to master my limits. Please help me discern when it is time to stop, when it is time to walk away, and when it is time to let things be. May I not constantly bend myself to a point where it no longer benefits me. Remind me that takers have no limits, so I ask for your guidance in setting mine. In Jesusname, I pray. AmenšŸ™ā¤ļø

Due to the advice of the CDC and because Coffee County schools and all non-essential activities have been suspended, co-op will be canceled until further notice. If we resume the semester before the end of our term we will let everyone know.

No co-op today March 11. Please comment that you are this

There have been questions about COVID-19 and cancellation for co-op. If you feel that you would like to stay home and avoid public places, you may do so and communicate your absence to us as soon as you make that decision. If we reach 8 absences, we will not be able to run the day for other families and will therefore cancel that day. However, we are not closing co-op in response to the virus. We will communicate all closings as soon as we reach the absence threshold. Please do not wait until Wednesday morning to let us know since many of our families travel from other cities.

Morning, as many of you are in the middle of registering for your classes for the Fall of 2018, the most frequently asked question has been "when do we pay?" Payments are due August 8, at FHFM orientation held at First Baptist Church in Manchester. Registation fee are $50/semester/family or $80/year/family. Please also remember any class fee will be due at that time.

Here is another sample of some class options that have been finalized in recent weeks for our homeschool co-op for fall semester!

-Biology Lab for 8th-12th- Students will conduct biology experiments to learn and reinforce biology concepts. This is a two semester class.

-Beginning Biology for 4th-7th- This two semester biology class will provide students with solid science information and hands-on experimentation. Students will cover taxonomy, cells, plants and photosynthesis, protists, frog and butterfly life cycles, and ecosystems. Some homework may be required.

-Hands on Science for K-3rd involves fun experiments and demonstrations and the science behind them; things like making silly putty from common household ingredients, magnets and mirrors, and blowing stuff up (just kidding).

-Keyboarding and Coding for 4th-7th grade students.
Students will learn the touch method of keyboarding using a personal computer keyboard. We will start the semester using a paper keyboard to practice hand placement and will graduate to using actual computers. Everyone will need to bring a computer or tablet with keyboard to class. We will explore beginning computer coding.

-Tying Knots for 4th-7th will have you in knots as students learn basic knots to advanced knotting!

Over the next few weeks, we will highlight some of the class options that will be offered at co-op this fall semester.

For high school students, one class offered is the ACT Prep class, which will help prepare students to take the ACT test, and may take some pressure off of you.

For middle grades (4-7), we have an exciting Ancient History class. The hands on, multi-sensory curriculum is designed to give children a taste of ancient history and civilizations.

For lower elementary (K-3), one option will be Fun with Fairy Tales. This fun language arts unit studies important concepts such as identifying parts of a story and figurative language through the world of fairy tales, making it a perfect introductory unit for younger elementary students.

Please SHARE this page if you know any homeschool moms or dads who are looking for a local co-op group, as we will be registering for fall semester and making announcements from this page.
