🌟 TODAY’S GUIDANCE WITH MRS. CONNELLY! 🌟

Today, Mrs. Connelly (formally known as Miss Stephanie) had the sweetest opportunity to introduce our students to the important role of a school counselor! 💕📚

Students learned that school counselors are here to help them navigate their school experience, understand and regulate their emotions, solve problems, build positive relationships, and have a trusted adult they can turn to when they need support. 🧠💗

To make learning about counseling fun and engaging, students completed a Counselor Mission Activity! 🕵️‍♀️✨ They used their ELA skills, reading comprehension, sentence-building skills, and fine motor skills as they worked through different challenges to break down sentences and discover what school counselors do in an elementary school.

This activity allowed students to learn while also practicing important academic and social-emotional skills! 📖✏️

Our goal is for every student to know that asking for help is a strength and that they always have someone in their corner at school. 💕 School counselors are here to listen, encourage, teach, support, and help students become the very best version of themselves!

We are so excited to continue helping our students grow academically, socially, emotionally, and personally throughout the school year! 🌟
