“It is rare to find many things today that students, educators, and Fortune 500 companies all agree on. SkillsUSA is that rare thing. CTSOs like SkillsUSA deliver exactly what all three need—students who are ready to work, businesses that can compete, and communities that have stable pathways to rewarding careers.”
That’s our Executive Director Chelle Travis providing testimony to the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, & Pensions - Subcommittee on Education & the American Family. Chelle advocated for strengthening federal investment in career and technical education–a SkillsUSA’s legislative priority. It is with a very heavy heart that I share of the passing of our longtime friend, colleague, and mentor Bob McIntosh. While known for his distinguished career in hospitality and education, Chef Mac has always been a tireless supporter of SkillsUSA serving many roles including advisor, contest chair, Contest judge, and president of the board of SkillsUSANH. Mac was uncomfortable in the limelight and although he has received many well deserved awards and recognition for all his work, he was always happiest working one on one with his students. It is impossible to overstate the impact he has had on our organization and more importantly all the many young people he has worked with over the years. You will be deeply missed my friend.
Details of services will be forthcoming as we receive them.
This is a photo I took a few years ago of Chef Mac in his element instructing our student officers in a fun cooking competition he created to emphasize they importance of teamwork.

It is with great sadness that I share that we have recently lost a great friend and colleague. Our friend Chef Patrick Hall has been more than an educator, he has been an industry leader who freely gave of his time and amazing skills in service to his community. On behalf of the SkillsUSA New Hampshire family and all the lives he impacted in such a meaningful way, he will be sorely missed. Thank you Pat for your wonderful work as a board member and most especially as a mentor and friend to so many of our young people. Loosing you leaves a big hole for us all but we also take some comfort in your beautiful legacy. So grateful to have known you, rest in peace my friend.
