Volunteers are still needed for MCC’s Fall Clothing Collection & Sorting Event!

MCC is partnering with the Pass Along Project to collect and sort clothing for children entering foster care. The Pass Along Project provides “nearly new” clothing bundles to children as they enter foster care, helping ensure they have clothing and essentials when they need them most.

The event takes place October 2–3, with the big volunteer sorting day on Saturday, October 3, and we still need lots of helping hands!

👕 Volunteers will help sort donated clothing and shoes for infants through teens. MCC community members can also donate clean, gently used clothing and shoes during the week leading up to the event, as well as new socks, pajamas and underwear.

Whether you can volunteer for a shift or have clothing to donate, your support can help provide a child entering foster care with a clothing bundle they can use and feel good about receiving.

There’s a club for just about every interest at MCC! Today’s Club Fair brought students together to meet club representatives, learn about ways to get involved, and find new opportunities to connect beyond the classroom.

Every Wednesday, Tidewater Café has large, warm cookies in a variety of flavors available for purchase in the cafeteria. Because sometimes you just need a fresh-baked cookie to make it through the week.

That’s a wrap on Welcome Week! 🍦✨

Swag and Sweets was the perfect way to finish out the week! Students enjoyed DQ sundaes and got creative personalizing koozies, lipstick holder keychains, and travel hand sanitizer holders with their favorite MCC designs.

🧇 Waffle Wednesday was a sweet success! Students stopped by to enjoy waffles loaded up with their favorite toppings, plus pop-up DIY activities like cup decorating.

And we’re not done with Welcome Week yet! Tomorrow is Swag & Sweets from noon until gone. Stop by for a DQ Cupcake Sundae and create your own DIY MCC swag while supplies last!
