Saint James School, a ministry of Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish, is thrilled to welcome Mrs. Christina Nunes to the role of Interim Principal for the 2026–2027 school year! 🎉

Mrs. Nunes is a longtime Catholic school educator who most recently served as one of Saint James’ 2nd grade teachers, co-chaired our school’s accreditation team, and directed our summer program. This morning, Mrs. Nadaskay, President of the Consortium, officially welcomed Mrs. Nunes to her new role by handing her the keys.

𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐒𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐉𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥'𝐬 𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐓𝐇 𝐆𝐑𝐀𝐃𝐔𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐋𝐀𝐒𝐒 -- 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔!! 💛💙

In June of 1927, Saint James School's first 8th grade class - consisting of 14 girls and 11 boys - received their diplomas from Saint James School pastor and principal, Rev. Reidy and Rev. Timmons.

Today, exactly one century later, we are blessed to be honoring 44 Saint James School eighth-grade students as they receive their diplomas and join the ranks of the 4,674 SJS graduates who have come before them. Congratulations, Sabers!

Below are some pictures taken this morning - our 8th graders’ last day as Saint James students - as they said goodbye to their former teachers and younger friends. Many of these boys and girls have been a part of this school since they were three, four, or five years old. We have watched them grow up before our eyes and could not be more proud!

We wish the Class of 2026 much success as they move into the next phase of their academic careers and we look forward to hearing about all of their achievements in high school and the years beyond. Please join us in prayer that God continue to grace each of them with His love and guidance throughout the years to come.

Please join us on Tuesday, June 9th as we honor outgoing Saint James School principal, Mrs. Zorger, and celebrate her many years of exceptional service, leadership, and dedication to the SJS community.

Guests are welcome to drop by any time between 5:00pm – 7:00pm, with farewell remarks from Mrs. Zorger beginning at 6:00pm. Light refreshments will be served.

We look forward to celebrating Mrs. Zorger’s lasting impact on Saint James School and thanking her for the care and leadership she has provided to our community over the years. 💛💙

Yesterday, Saint James School kindergarten – grade 5 students enjoyed a special walking field trip to Cheney Hall/Little Theatre of Manchester, Inc. to see "American Songbook," a performance celebrating American history through a timeline of music. During this fun experience, professional performers guided students on a journey from the tribal songs of early Native Americans to the powerful anthems of the Civil Rights Movement, bringing history to life through song and storytelling.

A huge thank you to Cheney Hall Executive Director, Dwayne Harris, for organizing this fun experience for our students and for prefacing the show with an age-appropriate, educational talk about the performing arts, acting, and the theatre experience.

And, also thank you to the SJS Foundation whose annual donation to our school helps fund programing like this for our students.
