Real Love

I grew up in a fairly religious home, I considered myself a godly person. I have had the rare opportunity to serve as a minister, pastor and counselor. I have heard countless sobering confessions of many a minister, priest and lay person. I find myself truly in awe that If so many really believe God is real, the embodiment of “love” and their sacred text is true, then why do they act so contrary to their own beliefs? If God is real, one thing I’m 100% positive of, they’re shaking their head this very minute in awe at the countless “religious people” who profess to worship them.

My advice turn your love up to “High” and your dogma to “zero”! If you do this, I promise you, your world will get so much sweeter, and you might just get out of this life everything it was meant to be 💙💙

So many in our society live their lives on the surface, they don’t go “deep”. It is in the “depths” of ourselves that we discover we are so much more, capable of such passion, beauty, love and joy. When this happens your eyes our open to real truth, beauty, love, awe and wonder. It is then you chose not to merely be part of an endless landscape but instead transform into the artist creating and celebrating beauty all around you. Your canvas “life” your brushes and paints “your thoughts, words, actions and love”. For those of you on this journey of wonder, Camus will speak to your soul. Keep creating! 💙💙

Mental Illness, Toxic Religion and Hate

Until we stop ignoring the biggest issues crippling America “Mental Illness, Toxic Religion and Hate”, America will never be a “Great” nation or a place anyone can truly feel safe, loved or respected. What happened in CO is horrific but only one incident of many in recent years and the systemic affect of these three major issues we all rather not acknowledge, discuss and certainly work to improve.

Each of these issues are impacting all of us wether we chose to acknowledge it or not but when you combine them the result is the shooting in Colorado.

We need to confront these issues head on by:

1. Funding our State’s Mental Health Care System.

2. Supporting People-Centric Legislation that forces Insurance Providers to provide affordable benefits for therapy and medication.

3. Holding your family, friends and people you know accountable (in love and not just on Facebook) that are promoting toxic religious as well as social beliefs and who support organizations and individuals that promote these ideas that divide and hurt people.

4. Investing your time and resources in a personal care journey that promotes self-healing and growth (better you = better world).

5. Stop being “Negative”! Attitude is everything. Believe in a better tomorrow and it will happen!

You ever have one of the contemplative days? It troubles me at the number of individuals I know that choose judgement over love. They choose to judge themselves rather than love the person in the mirror and in doing so condemn those around them to the same judgement and ultimately the loss of their potential love. Can you imagine what our world would be like if we chose to love every time we wanted to judge? Problems like the environment, poverty, war, racism, crime, hunger and disease would disappear within a decade or two. If only - Happy Earth Day 🌎 💙🇬🇷🇺🇸🇱🇧🏳️‍🌈🇺🇦

The Four Agreements by Don Miguel Ruiz, now part of my annual reading list! Such a great read, simple but so profound. Don Ruiz zeroes in on some “HUGE” obstacles that prevent most humans from living the life they were meant to. Thank you for recommending this last summer. Go out and get this book!

Health is Freedom
Weight loss, fitness, health, and vitality take time! There is no easy quick fix to these issues. Millions of people in 2022 will buy into fad diets because the truth is overwhelming. If you want to look and feel great it’s going to take time and work but if it’s done right it will pay off in the years ahead of you!

Big Shout out to my lil sis aka Debbie Mui .mui who although has a birthday today never seems to age! You are one incredible woman who has always been there for me. Thank you for being an incredible friend, staying on me to maintain my health (I guess that’s why I don’t seem to age - I wish lol) and always not being afraid to tell me what I need to hear at the time especially when it comes to my relationship choices ha ha! I love our adventures, your vegan culinary skills, your sense of humor, energy and the rich friendship we share! 💙💙Demetri (aka your big bro)

Make Love The Main Dish at your Holiday Table

I am very grateful to have enjoyed so many beautiful Thanksgiving Celebrations since my childhood but the ones I remember the most is where love was in abundance.

When I was married my ex and I would either host thanksgiving or it would be hosted at one of my sister-in-law’s or brother-in-law homes. No matter where it was not only were my in-laws extended family invited but their spouses as well as the other in-laws spouses’ extended families (including mine). It wasn’t just family but friends and neighbors too. The gatherings were huge, the food diverse and the love so abundant and rich!

Remember there is always room at the table and plenty to go around when love is the main dish!

Love has the power to unify, heal and transform ordinary gatherings into rich life giving celebrations. You and I have the power to change ourselves, our families, communities, this country and even this world if we would only make love the center of our life💙

I challenge you to make love your main dish tomorrow and consider inviting maybe one, two or three more people (maybe someone you need to start loving).

Thankful for you all beloved 💙💙🍁🍁🦃🇬🇷🇱🇧 🇨🇦🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈

I have lost track of the number of brilliant entrepreneurs and professionals I have counseled that convinced themselves that they would eventually fix their health.

Good health isn’t something you put off, it’s something that you prioritize as good health is the vehicle that makes the journey for everything else in life possible.
