Saddened to share the passing of our beloved crossing guard Sandra Wenzell.

For years Sandra kept our kids safe at the Queen City and Elm St. intersection for Bakersville Elementary, and she greeted every child like they were her own.

Thank you for watching over us, Sandra. Your morning phone call alerts and afternoon jokes made us all smile. You will be missed.
