More than just fun, their treasure hunt was a learning adventure! Our young crew had a spectacular time on their Great Lakes pirate treasure hunt this week, but it was so much more than just a fun game! By weaving imagination with practical skills, our mixed-age classroom (ages 4–7) became a real-world learning laboratory. One of the most beautiful moments was watching their literacy skills come alive: our emerging readers gained immense confidence by stepping up to read the clues, while the older students stepped into leadership roles by gently helping them sound out the bigger words! 📚Together, they navigated town using advanced auditory listening (tracking an owl call) and long-term memory recall, remembering past class milestones like our turtle release and the teacher's funny pond incident. 🐢 The children worked seamlessly to tackle advanced scientific and spatial concepts—using real magnetic compasses, practicing physics with a rope descent, and using hands-on botany to find the specific trees where Luna moths live. They even practiced vital civic safety by decoding warnings to stay back from the active road to avoid the "crew curse." From math and geography to nature conservation and incredible peer leadership, your children showed brilliant focus and community care. We are so proud of our class!

Ms. Kendra's summer care friends had a picnic outside. They loved every minute of it!!!

Summer kids club spent time in the woods to dig up worms, and found what they think is a raccoon skull. Mr. Jeff rescued a painted turtle from the middle of the road and brought it in to visit. Ms. Tonisha fell in love with the turtle and decided to adopt him. She named him flash.
