How does your schnauzer behave off leash?

This little guy has surprised me off leash, he is basically my shadow and is extremely well behaved even when encountering other dogs he still remains by my side. We live near a dog friendly beach so I've been working on it with him for a while, my other schnauzer is the opposite, and it's quite stubborn in terms of recall. Any way how about your schnauzers? How do they behave?
