Can I get an OUCH? And also an Amen.

Surrendering is hard. Trusting a force greater than ourselves is hard. Trusting ourselves to do both might be the hardest.

For most of my life, my default was to leap into action. The more doing the better.

Now, I understand the actions I took were in response to how these thoughts made me FEEL, which 100% of the time was blame and shame.

My actions weren't inspired - they were punishment.

Moral: I'm no longer available to be a jerk to myself.

Here's the truth: What I really am is someone who is high functioning under pressure.

There was never any thriving. Ever.

Just a metric ton of unprocessed anxiety, fear, self-loathing and oh - adrenal fatigue.

Detoxing from living your (working) life that way feels like ass. Processing your unprocessed emotions feels like ass. Examining your sh*tty thoughts feels like ass.

If you are in the midst of doing this work on yourself, for yourself, so that your thriving isn't conditional upon pressure, crisis or drama and you feel like you want to quit?

Please don't. You are just getting to the good part.
