🌟 Meet our new and familiar faces at Maple Street! 🌟

We’re excited to welcome Erica and Rebecca to the Maple Street School team, and to celebrate Ryan, a familiar face stepping into a big role this year. As our Director of Facilities, Ryan will be helping manage the day-to-day logistics of our campus extension and expansion while keeping everything running smoothly across the school.

🌈🏃‍♂️☀️🌧️ Maple Street Field Day had it all!

There was spirited competition, teamwork, laughter, and plenty of school pride as students spent the day running, cheering, playing, and celebrating together. From sunshine to passing showers, the weather kept us on our toes, but nothing could dampen the energy and enthusiasm on display.

With every color of the rainbow represented, students showed what makes our community so special: respect, responsibility, resilience, and kindness in action. Whether racing across the field, encouraging teammates, or simply enjoying time together outdoors, it was a day filled with joy, connection, and unforgettable memories.

A huge thank you to our faculty, staff, and students for making Field Day such a success! 💜💚💙💛❤️

✍️📚 Congratulations to Maple Street students Dylan Miksis and Isla Dowd for being recognized in this year’s Hildene Lincoln Essay Competition!

Dylan earned First Place in Region Three, and Isla received an Honorable Mention for their thoughtful and compelling writing connected to the ideals of Abraham Lincoln and civic engagement today.

🐟🌿 Last week, our 5th graders wrapped up their Trout in the Classroom project with a perfect spring afternoon along Munson Brook. After spending months raising brook trout from eggs in their classroom aquarium and learning about life cycles, water quality, and Vermont ecosystems, students released their trout into the brook with the help of their 7th grade mentors and cheering on from their 1st grade buddies.

There was science, teamwork, time outdoors, cookies, cake, and plenty of smiles along the way. A wonderful reminder of how hands-on learning helps students build curiosity, responsibility, and connection to the natural world right here at Maple Street. 💧🐟🍪🌱

Last week our faculty and staff felt incredibly celebrated during Teacher Appreciation Week! 💜 From gorgeous goodie bags and wellness boxes to smoothies, treats, sweet notes, and a catered lunch, special decor, the week was filled with kindness and gratitude.

Yesterday’s Spring Art Walk was such a sweet celebration of our students’ creativity, growth, and the quiet courage it takes to share their work and speak in front of others. 🎨💜

Today we celebrated our Library’s birthday in the best way possible… by dressing up as our favorite book characters! 📚✨

The creativity was off the charts and had everyone smiling and laughing all day long. It was the perfect way to wrap up a very eventful Spirit Week and head into spring break on a high note. 🌸🎭
