First, I want to thank each and every one of you who supported me throughout this campaign. While the outcome wasn’t what we had hoped for, I am incredibly proud of all that we accomplished together. Ten months ago, we were merely neighbors and now we are family, bonded together by our shared values, principles, selfless spirits and tenacity!
To our dedicated volunteers and donors, your generosity is humbling; whether it was knocking on doors, passing out literature, standing outside during those 45 long days of early voting, donating to the cause, sharing your expertise, etc, I am thankful! You believed in the vision we were working toward, and I’m deeply grateful for your commitment. You are the heart of any campaign, and I could not have done this without you.
To my family and friends, thank you for being my unwavering support throughout this journey. Your understanding and encouragement have been unparalleled.
To my running mates, I don’t know another group of eight individuals who could be more united, hard working and dedicated to this mission. It was an incredible privilege and honor to get to know you and your families.
Finally, to all the voters, thank you for your participation. Whether you voted for me or not, your voice is vital to shaping the future of our schools. I look forward to staying involved and working with you all to make our district the best it can be.
Although we didn’t win this time, the issues we raised during our campaign are important and need solutions. I will continue to advocate for our students, teachers, and community in whatever ways I can.
This campaign may be over, but my dedication to improving our schools will continue.
Thank you again, from the bottom of my heart.
