📣 What Does a Classroom Parent Do?

Want to help your child’s classroom stay connected to the PTO? Consider volunteering as your class’s Classroom Parent! 🦅💙

The Classroom Parent helps serve as a communication bridge between the PTO and families in their classroom. Responsibilities may include:

📌 Sharing the PTO’s monthly meeting notes with all families in your class so everyone stays informed about upcoming events, volunteer opportunities, and important PTO updates.

🎉 Helping coordinate participation in PTO-sponsored events, such as Bingo Night, and sharing event information and reminders with your classroom families.

Interested in being your student’s Classroom Parent? Let your child’s teacher know! Your email address will be shared with the PTO Classroom Parent Liaison, who will provide additional information and keep you connected throughout the year. Our goal is to have 1 parent per classroom!

It’s a great way to help your classroom stay informed and connected—and it doesn’t require a huge time commitment! 💙🦅

The first day of school is here, and we are SO excited to welcome our students, families, and staff back for another amazing year at Thurgood Marshall Elementary! 📚✏️

A huge THANK YOU to our Teacher Appreciation Committee and PTO Vice President for getting this beautiful sign ordered and helping us start the year with a little extra Eagle spirit! 🦅

A huge thank you to Wendy at Yard Card Celebrations for creating this amazing “Welcome Back Eagles” display to help kick off the first day of school at Marshall.

💙 A HUGE Thank You to Our Teacher Appreciation Committee! 💙

We are so grateful to our amazing Teacher Appreciation Committee for putting together such a wonderful spread for our teachers during Thursday’s Meet & Greet! 🍎✨

Our PTO truly could not do what we do without the generous donations and incredible volunteers who help make these special moments possible. Thank you for helping us show our teachers just how much they are appreciated! 🦅❤️

Today we want to give a HUGE thank you to our Marshall PTO Facebook Manager, Janice Soliven, for all the support she has provided this school year managing our content and helping keep our Marshall families informed, connected, and updated. 💙💛

From event reminders and volunteer opportunities to spirit nights, celebrations, and everything in between, she has helped make sure our communications reached our Marshall community all year long. We truly could not have made it through this school year without her dedication and support.

And yes… we absolutely see the irony that she is posting her own thank you message right now. 😂

But we promise — the PTO really did write this one!
