πŸš’πŸ”₯ Today was a fun and educational day at TGS!

We were excited to welcome the Manassas City Fire Department for a special visit. Our students learned about fire safety, what to do in an emergency, and how firefighters help keep our community safe. We watched a firefighter put on all of his gear and learned that while firefighters may look a little scary in their equipment, they are there to help and protect us. The best part was giving him a high five at the end of his presentation!

We also explored the fire trucks and learned about the tools and equipment firefighters use every day. Thank you to our local firefighters for taking the time to teach, inspire, and help our students feel confident and prepared. We are so grateful for our local heroes! β€οΈπŸš’

Is your child ready for kindergarten? πŸŽ’βœ¨

Kindergarten readiness goes beyond knowing letters and numbers. It’s also about developing the confidence, independence, social skills, and curiosity that help children thrive in a classroom setting.

From following routines to building friendships and solving problems on their own, every child reaches these milestones at their own pace. Celebrating those everyday moments can help you recognize the signs that your little one is preparing for this exciting next step. πŸ’™

The relationships children build in their earliest years shape so much more than their preschool experience. Feeling known, supported, and connected helps children build confidence, friendships, and a sense of belonging that stays with them long after the classroom years. πŸ’›

It’s often the smallest moments β€” a warm greeting, a trusted teacher, a familiar friend β€” that leave the biggest impact.
